I say, and with God's help: If he prays while sitting on a chair and prostrates on the ground, it is permissible for the follower to pray behind him standing. However, if he is unable to prostrate on the ground, then the prayer behind him is not valid at all; because his prayer is due to necessity, and God knows best.
