Finance After Divorce
My wife is asking for a divorce after we have lived together for seventeen years, and we have three children. How do we divide the money and the business between us? What are her financial rights after the divorce as stipulated by Islamic law?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: You must pay her share of the money that she has a right to as ownership; for example, if she provided you with money or if she was working with you and you were partners in certain funds, then she has a right to them. And God knows best.
