Question
There has been much disagreement among us regarding the issue of breaking the fast with injections of various types, and the general public is confused. Can we issue a fatwa stating that one does not break the fast in Ramadan and then make up for it after Ramadan as a precaution? Is this considered a precaution in the school of thought, and what is the reality and concept of precaution in the Hanafi school in general?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: According to the rules of our school of thought, it does not break the fast; because it is not from a recognized outlet. This was ruled by the Mufti of Egypt and the scholar of his time, Muhammad Bekhit Al-Mut'i, a hundred years ago. Therefore, it does not break the fast, and there is no need for what you have mentioned; because it has no basis, and there is no precautionary discussion in it. And God knows best.
