Fasting the Six Days of Shawwal in Succession

Question
A thought occurred to me, which is that the great scholar and mufti Muhammad Zarouli Khan says: 'Rather, he is strict in his statement' that fasting the six days of Shawwal is disliked and an innovation according to the Hanafi school, and he attributes the statement of dislike to Abu Hanifa and has authored a message on this matter, providing proofs and evidence. Yet you consider it among the recommended acts, and other scholars also regard it as recommended. What should we do in the case of this disagreement?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The fasting of the six days after Eid al-Fitr in succession is disliked by some, but the preferred view is that there is no harm in it; because the dislike was due to the concern that it might be considered part of Ramadan, resembling the Christians. Now that concern has been removed, or it can be said: the reason for the dislike is that it may lead the common people to believe that it is obligatory due to the frequent practice; hence we have heard some say on the day of Eid: Our holiday has not yet come. As for when there is security from that, there is no harm.
