Fasting for One Who Sees Blood Outside of Its Time
A 52-year-old woman is experiencing irregularities in her menstrual cycle, and sometimes she sees blood outside of its time. What is the ruling on her fasting?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If the blood lasts for 3 days, and the interval between the two periods is 15 days, then it is considered menstruation, and it is not permissible for her to fast during it. And God knows best.
