Fasting Due to Severe Pain
I had my wisdom tooth removed four days ago and I am experiencing unbearable pain. I need to take pain relief; is it permissible for me to break my fast for a day to take the medication?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to break the fast due to illness, if the pain is unbearable, and to make up for it after Ramadan, and God knows best.
