Fasting Due to Peril
You mentioned in a previous fatwa that working in strenuous jobs is not an excuse for breaking the fast unless one fears for their life while fasting; in that case, it is permissible to break the fast. What expiation is required in this situation?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: he must make up for what he missed unless he is in a permanent state of inability; in that case, he should feed a poor person for each day he missed, and the feeding of the poor person is estimated at two dinars. And God knows best.
