Question
I am married to a man who was married before and has children, and the youngest of them is not recognized; it is believed that he is from another man because the husband did not have intercourse with the wife during the period she became pregnant. However, he lives with us in the same house. Is it permissible for me to be exposed to him like his brothers since I am their father's wife, or is he considered a stranger to me?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: As long as he has not cursed the wife and has not denied the child's lineage, he is his son and inherits alongside his children. It is not permissible for him, according to Islamic law, to speak ill of him unless he denies him as we mentioned. Therefore, he is considered his son, and you can treat him like his other children in terms of exposure and other matters. And God knows best.
