Expiation for Killing a Soul
My friend has to fast for two consecutive months as an expiation for killing a fetus. What should she do if she is forced to break her fast for a day because she is invited and cannot decline? Is this an acceptable excuse?

I say, and with God's help: If it is required to fast for two months, the reasons you mentioned do not constitute an excuse for breaking the fast, and she must continue. However, there is no expiation through fasting for the killing of the fetus; rather, only the blood money is required. And God knows best.
