Exceeding Forty Days of Postpartum Bleeding

Question

If a woman has a postpartum period of twenty days, then she gives birth and sees ten days of bleeding, twenty days of purity, and eleven days of bleeding?

Answer

I say, and with God's success: Her postpartum period is twenty; because the purity in it is like the continuous blood due to its occurrence between two bloods, so twenty from the first time she saw postpartum, and if it ends with purity returning to her habit, the remaining one is twenty-one, which is irregular bleeding.
