Estimating the Height of the Spear by Twenty Minutes
It is written in Al-Lubab: that the Eid prayer is permissible when the sun rises to the height of a spear, so how did the predecessors know the height of the spear? And how did scholars in our time estimate it to be twenty minutes?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: it is estimated by the completion of the exit and its separation at this extent, which is estimated at twenty minutes at this time, and God knows best.
