Equality in Gifts to Sons and Daughters
I gave my son, who is about to get married, a sum of money, and my daughter requested the same amount for the sake of fairness. Am I sinning if I do not give her?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is recommended to treat children equally, and there is no sin if we do not, but we must give one of them without the other only for a clear excuse, and God knows best.
