Question
Our relatives have converted to Christianity - that is, they have apostatized after being Muslims - is it permissible for us to eat their food when they invite us?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: It is your duty to invite them and remind them of Islam and its truth, and to maintain the relationship with them if you see that it is beneficial for them and does not lead to temptation for you. As for their food, it is permissible if they have not performed the slaughter; because their slaughter is not permissible. And God knows best.
