Eating from the charity for the deceased

Question
A lady wants to slaughter a sheep as charity for her deceased parents. Is it permissible for her to take a part of it and make food for her household?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: this slaughter is an act of devotion to God Almighty, and it is not a vow. It is permissible to eat from it and to give charity from it as the slaughterer sees fit, and he should intend at the time of slaughter that its reward is for the parents. And God knows best.
