Question
A married woman who prays and fears Allah, her father-in-law plays gambling, and she lives in the same house with him. Her husband has a good job, but the food at home is brought by the uncle, so she is forced to eat what her uncle brings for her and her children to avoid problems. She cannot rent another house. Is she sinful for eating from gambling money?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If most of her uncle's wealth is unlawful, it is not permissible to eat from it, and she must involve people of virtue so that she can live independently in her own house; because it is her legal right, and God knows best.
