I say, and with God's success: It is one day and one night for the resident, and three days and their nights for the traveler, starting from the time of the event; as narrated by Ali : "The Messenger of God  made three days and their nights for the traveler, and one day and one night for the resident," in Sahih Muslim 1: 232, and the wording is his, and in Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 1: 97, and in the Musnad Al-Mustakhraj 1: 330, and in Al-Mujtabi 1: 84, refer to: Umdat Al-Ri'ayah 1: 114, and God knows best.
