Duration of Announcement for Found Money
We found an amount of money and placed an announcement, but no one asked. When can I dispose of the money?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: This money is considered a find (luqata), and if its owner does not come forward, it is permissible to give it as charity to yourself if you are poor or to others. And God knows best.
