Dropping the Pants Below the Ankles
Is wearing pants so that they are below the ankles, as is commonly practiced in our country, considered to fall under the ruling of letting garments hang down out of arrogance?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: Wearing pants or a garment that is below the ankles is not considered religiously forbidden unless it is done out of arrogance and pride. Any clothing that changes the heart in a way that it becomes superior to others is forbidden; because it leads to arrogance, and God knows best.
