Drinking Barley Beverage That Contains Alcohol
What is the ruling on drinking the barley beverage that is widely available in the markets and contains a percentage of alcohol? Is there a difference of opinion among the schools of thought regarding this?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Barley water is permissible to drink; because the wicked do not gather to drink it, and everything that the wicked do not gather to drink, even if it contains a percentage of alcohol, is permissible to drink, provided that it does not intoxicate, and God knows best.
