Dressing a Baby Boy in Gold
I have a baby boy and I attached a verse from the Quran (Ayat al-Kursi) made of gold to his clothes. Is this permissible from a legal standpoint? Because boys are not allowed to wear gold, and the purpose and intention of the Ayat al-Kursi is for his protection?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is strongly disliked to dress a boy in gold, and the sin is on the one who dresses him, and God knows best.
