Question
According to the Hanafi principles and rules, is it permissible to donate human organs while alive, and what is the ruling on this after death? Also, what is the ruling on selling them?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The parts of a human being are not sold at all, whether alive or dead; because a human being is honored and not to be degraded, so it is not permissible for any of their parts to be treated with disrespect. As for donation, it is permissible in life and death; as there is nothing preventing that, and God knows best.
