Donating Illegitimate Money
My husband downloaded an app to buy and sell stocks, and through it, he earned (119) Turkish Lira. He asked someone about it, and they told him that this action is forbidden. My husband wants to donate this amount. Is it permissible for him to give me the amount for myself and our children because our situation is difficult and we are poor?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If it is proven that this money is forbidden, then it is impure money that should not be taken, but rather should be given as charity to others, and God knows best.
