I donated a water well as charity for the soul of a neighbor in our neighborhood. I am a young man and I considered her like my mother. I donated to build a water well in India for her and her deceased husband and their only daughter. I informed her of this to comfort her. Do I receive a reward for this act or is it considered wrong?

Answer

I say, and with God's success: If the intention is sincere for God, then you will be rewarded, and it does not harm to inform it if the intention is for good, and God knows best.
