Doll Making for Decoration
A girl is making dolls from cardboard and sponge in the form of figures for occasions like graduation and weddings. These dolls are placed as decorations that do not get exposed to falling or disrespect, and this is her source of livelihood. Is what she does religiously forbidden? Will she be asked on the Day of Judgment to breathe life into them?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is not permissible for her to work with anything that has a soul; because it is forbidden, and she must learn something else and work with it, and God knows best.
