Divorce of the Angry Man
My uncle is married and has a small child, and he lives outside Jordan in Denmark. He divorced his wife with a third divorce while she was menstruating and was angry when he pronounced the divorce on her. What are the consequences of this, and is it possible for him to return to his wife?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If his anger leads him to a stage where his actions go beyond the usual, such as cursing, insulting, hitting, and breaking, then divorce does not occur, and he must consult the mufti to verify the actual situation. And God knows best.
