Question
A woman had the nisab amount for zakat and was giving food and educational expenses to the poor without considering the nisab, believing that she was paying zakat. Is her action correct?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If in her diligence she finds that what she has produced is more than or equal to what she owes in Zakat for previous years, then it suffices her; otherwise, it does not, and God knows best.
