Question
I live with my sister, and the money that comes to us is not divided; we agree on everything and do not hold each other accountable for anything. If one of us gives charity, her intention is for herself and her sister, and the same goes for Fitr Zakat. Is this permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: It is permissible for one of you to pay on behalf of the other for the Zakat al-Fitr; due to the legal permission existing between you as indicated by customary evidence, and God knows best.
