Question
My mother passed away, may God have mercy on her, and she used to receive food aid from one of the organizations. After her death, this aid continued to be disbursed to her, and her children take it. Is it permissible for them to take this aid, and what should they do with it?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is not permissible to take these aids from anyone after the mother's death; because they were specific to her, and they must inform the authority that she has died in order to allocate them to other needy individuals. If the authority agrees to give them to the children, then they will be theirs according to the arrangement of the granting authority, and God knows best.
