Died Before Making Up the Fasting
A sister did not make up for the days she broke her fast during Ramadan and was able to do so, and Allah took her life. What should the heirs do?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible for one person to fast on behalf of another, nor for one person to pray on behalf of another. However, it is possible to pay the expiation, which is the amount of two dinars for each day, and God knows best.
