Deviating from the Four Schools of Thought

Question
Please advise me, what is the ruling on deviating from the consensus of the four schools of thought? Because there are those who see no harm in it as long as it is not a consensus of the entire Ummah, but rather just the opinion of the majority. Is this correct? Please indicate the references if possible.
Answer
I say, and with God's help: departing from the four schools is a departure from consensus; because they represent the people of the Sunnah, what they agree upon is considered consensus that should not be abandoned. The complete discussion is in the detailed introduction to Hanafi jurisprudence by the humble servant, and God knows best.
