Question
Some people borrowed an amount of (750) thousand Syrian pounds and then bought goods, but the shop closed. Now the creditor wants the money from the debtors and is asking them to return (7) million pounds. Is this permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: they should return the money of the debt that they took, unless the lira drops significantly, in which case they should return the value, and God knows best.
