Delegation in Paying Zakat al-Fitr

Question
A woman has a brother in Aqaba who asked her to pay Zakat al-Fitr on his behalf, and he will reimburse her after Eid al-Fitr. Is this action permissible, or is it better for him to pay it himself before the end of Ramadan?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The giving of Zakat al-Fitr is not tied to a specific time; it is permissible to give it at any time, and it is permissible to delay it at any time. It is recommended to give it before the Eid prayer, and it is allowed to pay on behalf of someone and settle the payment later. And God knows best.
