Question
There is a poor family that the people of the area donate to; some give them from charity money, and some from zakat money. A person has been appointed to collect the money, and he is the one who spends on this family. Is it permissible for him to buy them a television since they do not have enough money for it, knowing that the donors have agreed to this, or should the money be only for food and drink?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to buy whatever they find suitable for them, including the television. Therefore, I advise them to use it for good, and God knows best.
