Delaying Charity After Eid for a Benefit
I have a married sister in need, and I want to give her the Zakat al-Fitr, but she lives in Madaba and I am in Zarqa. Is it permissible to give the Zakat al-Fitr to my mother and have my sister come after Eid to take it?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to delay the payment of Zakat al-Fitr after the Eid prayer, especially if it serves the interest of the poor, as you mentioned. And God knows best.
