Dealing with the find without searching for its owner
I rented a house that had tenants before me, and after several years I found a small piece of gold under my bed. I sold it and spent the money without my husband's knowledge. Do I owe anything, and is my action forbidden?

I say, and with God's help: This is a snapshot, and you should ask about its owner, whether it is your husband or someone else. If you cannot reach him, you may give it as charity. If you are poor, you can take it as a form of charity, and God knows best.
