Contributing the Cost of a Breathing Machine for a Patient from Zakat
A patient needs a breathing machine and cannot afford its cost, is it permissible to contribute its price from Zakat funds?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to give zakat to a sick person if they are poor to buy the device, provided that the money is owned by the poor person, and God knows best.
