Question
My sister gave birth twice, and in both cases, her postpartum period was 60 days. I know that there is an opinion among the Shafi'is and Malikis that the maximum postpartum period is 60 days, but I heard that anything beyond 40 days is considered istihada (irregular bleeding) according to the Hanafi school. Should she perform the prayers that she missed, as I believed it was a postpartum period according to the Shafi'i view?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: There is no obligation to make up for it if it was done correctly according to another opinion, and God knows best.
