Congregational Prayer for the Hearing Impaired
A girl has very weak hearing and sometimes cannot hear the Quran from the imam. She wishes to pray in congregation. Should she pray alone or repeat the prayer she performed in congregation?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Her prayer is valid in congregation even if she cannot hear the imam, but it is preferable for her to pray alone in her house as a woman; because it is more modest for her and further away from temptation, and God knows best.
