Conditions for Zakat on Trade Goods
A person owns a car showroom valued at one hundred thousand, and it has reached the nisab, but there is no money that has passed a year to be zakat-ed, is zakat obligatory on the displayed cars?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: He must evaluate the displayed cars every year and give zakat on them; due to the obligation of zakat on trade goods, and God knows best.
