Completing the Prayer Started with the Imam Alone
I was praying with my husband and children in congregation, and something occurred to me, so I intended to pray alone, and I completed my prayer alone. Is my prayer valid?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible for one who intends to pray in congregation with the imam to change their intention to pray alone and complete their prayer. And God knows best.
