Combining the Expiation of Oaths and the Expiation of Fasting
Is it permissible to combine the intention of the expiation of oaths and the expiation of fasting by feeding ten needy people for those who are unable during Ramadan?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible to combine the two intentions; because each has a separate and different expiation from the other. The expiation for an oath is to feed ten needy people, and the expiation for fasting is to feed one needy person for each day. And God knows best.
