Cleaning oneself is a Sunnah
Is prayer valid without cleaning oneself? I have a friend who has recently started praying; she performs ablution and prays without washing her private parts. Does she need to repeat her prayer?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Istinja (cleaning oneself after using the toilet) is a Sunnah, so the prayer is valid without it, but the one who performs it is neglecting the Sunnah, and God knows best.
