Question
I traveled to work in the Gulf for five years, and I advised my neighbor to water my eight trees. When I left my job, and I was visiting her one day, she said to me: I want to fix my teeth and made me feel that she does not have money because she is preparing to travel to the West Bank, knowing that her husband and children work, and one of her sons works in the Gulf, and she has bought land and her children can support their families. I did not respond to her request, so will I be blamed for that?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Charity is for those in need. If you believe that someone is not in need and another is more deserving, then the other is more worthy of receiving it. Charity is a donation, so there is no sin in not giving it. And God knows best.
