Capturing the Kid
My livestock mixed with someone else's in the summer pastures, and I found a kid among my livestock without knowing its owner. Two years have passed without the owner of this kid showing up. What should I do with it?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If you find something and search for its owner but the owner does not come, you can give it in charity to yourself if you are poor, or to someone else if you are rich; because it is a found item, and God knows best.
