Question
A woman living in Germany wants to buy a house through the bank, and the bank pays the price of the house, and she pays the bank in installments over several years. There are no Islamic banks in Germany, and this is the only way to own a home due to the high prices of houses. The purchase is for living, not for trade. What is the ruling on this?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: these are usurious transactions that are not permissible to engage in, and owning a house is not an excuse to fall into this prohibition, and God knows best.
