Breaking the Fast in Ramadan Due to Hard Work

Question
A woman has a son who is 20 years old and works on a tractor transporting dirt from the streets from 5 AM to 6 PM. He broke his fast during Ramadan due to the difficulty of the work, and he wants to make up only on Saturdays or pay a compensation. What is the ruling on his action?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: this act is not a legitimate excuse for breaking the fast in Ramadan, and it is a major sin. He must repent, and he is required to perform the expiation of fasting two consecutive months along with making up for all the days he has missed. And God knows best.
