Question
I am a wife and mother of four children, and my husband treats the girls poorly; he hits them, and he is always sitting on the phone. The mosque is in front of the house, but he does not go to pray. I do not interact with him or speak to him, and I cannot leave the house because of my daughters' exams. Am I sinful for that?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: You should be cautious of sin by turning away from him and not interacting or speaking with him. You should treat him well and show him affection, as this may be a reason for his reform and improvement of his character. Ignoring faults is a noble prophetic method in reforming souls. It is your duty to rethink entirely how to deal with him and to seek appropriate solutions. You must be patient in this matter and involve good people in it. And God knows best.
