Benefiting from Usurious Bank Interest
What is the ruling on depositing an amount in the bank, taking the resulting usurious interest, and purchasing an apartment with it? What is the legal ruling regarding this apartment?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Usurious money must be disposed of and given as charity. If the entire price of the apartment is from usury, you must dispose of it by giving it as charity, and God knows best.
