Benefit from the Replaced Item
I bought something online a while ago, and when it arrived, it was broken at the edges, and the condition was that I receive it intact. I sent a picture to the seller, and they refunded me, but I fixed it and used it. Is it forbidden for me to use it and benefit from it?

I say, and with Allah's success: If the merchant returns the money to you without asking you to return it, then he has gifted it to you, and it is permissible for you to benefit from it, and Allah knows best.
