Beginning with the Woman in the Saying of Allah: 'And the Female Adulterer and the Male Adulterer'
Why did Allah begin with the woman in His saying: 'the female adulterer and the male adulterer', and with the man in His saying: 'the thief and the female thief'?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The initiation of adultery is with the woman; for she is its material and foundation. If she were chaste, there would be no adultery. As for theft, it is usually committed by men, so in each case, the one more suited is given precedence. And God knows best.
